Swann Cottage is a beautiful small cottage overlooking the River Derwent on the edge of the Derbyshire Peak District. Featuring two spacious double bedrooms and a fitted bathroom it is the perfect destination for a week away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. Walkers will find it ideally placed for access to the Derbyshire peak district. The cottage is an easy drive from much of the UK - it is ideal for long weekend breaks for people in the London area. It is surrounded by a variety of quality restaurants (several within easy walking distance) and a good variety of pubs. The cottage is at the end of a row of four terraced cottages on a narrow track/footpath. There is no vehicular access so you are guaranteed tranquillity. Your only disturbance is the sound of the geese and ducks on the river. One exception to this can be on summer Sunday afternoons where brass bands often play in the bandstand in the gardens on the opposite side of the river, the sound carries to Swann Cottage rather well ! it's all very "English"! Stressed out folk working in or around London find it just the right distance to drive to "Get away from it all".
